I started my real estate career in 1996 and obtained my broker’s license in 2004. It had always been in the back of my mind to open my own office but I was waiting until my children were both out of high school. Last year, there were some changes at my previous office and the time just felt right to start my own company. Two of my coworkers decided to come with me and we’ve since added a fourth associate to our group.
For most people buying or selling a home is one of the biggest and most expensive things they will do in their lifetime. My job is to make the experience as stress free as possible. I enjoy working with first time home buyers, people relocating to Durant, moving up or moving down in size and at times, helping them avoid foreclosure. Real estate is a career in which you may have a vast amount of knowledge but every day is a learning experience, something new and different.
I enjoy learning all the new aspects of real estate whether it’s new state mandated forms, new laws and procedures or simply new and better technology.
In the last eighteen years, I have been very lucky to have been a Top Producer in my area – some years topping $8.6 million in production. Last year, I closed 59 deals made up of residential, commercial and land sales. Many of my sales are referrals from former clients or repeat deals over the years with existing clients.
